WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Savings Institute Bank & Trust last week awarded Jason White, vice president and director of IT, the “President’s Award,” given each year to an employee who “exemplifies the bank’s core values and goes above and beyond in the performance of their job.”
“Jason’s hard work throughout the years on various projects has helped increase security and functionality for the bank as a whole,” said Rheo Brouillard, president and CEO of the Connecticut-based bank.
White started with Savings Institute Bank & Trust in 1999. He holds a variety of certifications from vendors, including Cisco, Novell and Microsoft, according to a press release.
“Aside from his contributions to the bank, Jason is active in the information technology community,” continued Brouillard, “In the past, he’s traveled to D.C. to help increase cybersecurity controls in the industry through server virtualization. His leadership at the bank and in the IT community is invaluable.”
