Schneider Electric, Fujifilm, make list of 100 most reputable global companies

Two companies with local connections made the list of the top 100 most reputable companies in the world, according to the Reputation Institute’s 2016 Global RepTrak.
Tokyo-based Fujifilm, which operates Fujifilm Electronic Materials in North Kingstown, made the list, ranking 73rd. And Schneider Electric, an energy management company based in France with an office in South Kingstown, ranked 82nd.
Rolex was first, followed by The Walt Disney Co. and Google.
Spokespeople from Fujifilm and Schneider Electric could not be immediately reached for comment.
The Reputation Institute said it conducted more than 61,000 interviews during the first quarter of 2016 with consumers, receiving more than 240,000 ratings, to come up with its list of the most reputable companies.
According to the Reputation Institute, Microsoft returned to the top 10 this year after it dropped out last year, coming in seventh.

The Reputation Institute states that companies that invest in a strong reputation experience direct financial benefits.
