PAWTUCKET - Care New England announced Wednesday that the new president and CEO of Memorial Hospital will be Edward Schottland, the current director of Care New England’s Integration Management Office.

Effective Oct. 18, Schottland will replace Arthur DeBois, interim president and COO of Memorial Hospital. The leadership change was announced in a press release early Wednesday afternoon.

In his current Care New England role, Schottland has coordinated the integration of Memorial Hospital into the Care New England system. Before coming to Memorial, Schottland served as executive vice president and COO at Saint Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island and Tufts Medical Center.
