Get Started R.I. will take place Sept. 24 at the Harbor Lights Country Club in Warwick, where the six finalists will pitch their business ideas to a panel of experts to compete for a $10,000 “technology package” courtesy of Cox Business.
The six entrepreneur finalists are:
CBC, providing wind energy solutions
Deelish Skin, healthy skin care products
Movin, refurbishing and reselling furniture

An expert panel will judge the finalists as well as provide advice and support.

Magazine; Ted Nesi, reporter, WPRI-TV 12; and Ken Kraft, vice president of marketing, Cox Business, who will also moderate the session.
Each panelist was selected to bring their unique expertise to the event and to provide feedback and advice in all aspects of starting a business, according to Cox.
“Cox Business is passionate about supporting local small business growth,” Ross L. Nelson, vice president of Cox Business, said in a statement. “There is no better place to focus than the start-ups that need resources and support the most. Get Started R.I. is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn from our expert panel and from one another.”
The event will begin with a networking session at 5 p.m. After the pitches have concluded, an interactive question and answer session will take place with the expert panel and live audience.
