Six high schools part of pilot benchmark program

PROVIDENCE – Six state high schools within four districts have been selected to participate in a pilot program for an Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Test for Schools.
The program would allow individual schools to measure their performance against international benchmarks in a shorter format than the Program for International Student Assessment.
The program will be piloted over three testing days between May 1 and June 15 this year at Central Falls Senior High School, Chariho Regional High School, East Greenwich High School, the Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Shea Senior High School, and William E. Tolman Senior High School.
School and district leaders volunteered to participate.
The pilot is being run at approximately 100 schools in the United States as well as in schools in Canada and the United Kingdom. &#8226
