Slater Mill to host Grande Fete by the River fundraiser

PAWTUCKET – Grande Fete by the River, an event to benefit Slater Mill’s Educational Scholarship Program, which raises revenue in support of free and reduced-rate museum admission for all students, will be held June 4.

This year the annual fundraiser will feature Colombian, Guatemalan and Portuguese cuisines from local restaurants, a silent auction, a wine grab and twilight VIP tours of the museum.

Lori Urso, executive director of Slater Mill, expects it be a charming event to aid an important cause.

“It’s about creating opportunities for students, and partnering on enrichment education in our communities,” she said.
