Soucy Insurance head renamed to council

WOONSOCKET – The president of a Woonsocket insurance company has been selected to join Safeco Insurance’s Northeast Region Advisory Council for a second consecutive year.
David Soucy, president of Soucy Insurance Agency, will join the council to gather feedback from agents around the region, which will go toward enhancing both service and business results for Safeco and independent agencies, according to a press release. The council consists of eight regional panels and a national council.
“The Safeco Agent Advisory Council is more than just another panel,” Soucy said. “After serving on the council last year, I have seen firsthand how it assists us to become an even stronger voice for our customers and help Safeco and other independent agents continually improve our service.”
Soucy Insurance, established in Woonsocket in 1914, is a third-generation family-owned business providing auto, home, business and life insurance to Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts.
Safeco, based in Boston, has been using advisory councils for more than a decade, according to the release, and there are about 140 agents who sit on the regional councils.
“I am honored and excited to be a part of this experience for a second year in a row,” Soucy said.
