South County Hospital Auxiliary offering scholarship

WAKEFIELD – The South County Hospital Auxiliary is accepting applications for its 2016 scholarship. The scholarship supports continuing education or job training in clinical health care fields among men and women with limited financial or educational opportunities.
One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to cover academic tuition or course fees. In order to qualify as an applicant, the student must:
• Be a resident of Washington County (familiarly known as South County);
• Be accepted or enrolled in an educational or job skills training program and working toward a degree or certificate in a health care-related field;
• Demonstrate financial need.

Applicants may include South County Hospital employees. To complete an application form, visit www.southcountyhealth.org and click “News.” Forms are also available in the hospital’s human resources department on the hospital campus. A completed application must include a financial aid award letter, if applicable; the first two pages of the student’s final Student Aid Report, if applicable; one essay; a transcript from the student’s most recent educational program, if applicable; and one letter of recommendation. The deadline to submit applications is April 15.
