PROVIDENCE – The Business Workforce Center at the R.I. Department of Labor and Training will host an event next week to hire up to 75 customer service representatives for the state’s new health care exchange, the department announced Friday.
The recruitment event will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug., 14 at the netWORKri career center on Reservoir Ave.
The event will help the contact center hire the employees it needs to support HealthSourceRI, the deparment said in a release. Personnel will be on hand to conduct interviews with job candidates.
DLT Director Charles J. Fogarty called the recruitment “a welcome boost for the economy” in a statement. Fogarty credited Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee for helping launch the health care exchange.
The contact center is looking to hire English speakers as well as bilingual Portuguese and Spanish customer service representatives.
