On Thursday, the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra will kick off its Summer Pops concert series with a BankRI Independence Day Celebration at India Point Park. The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, now in its 69th season, features a roster of world-renowned guest artists like pianist Cecile Lilad and violinist Jennifer Frautschi among others. The concert, conducted by Francisco Noya will include pieces like; Giuseppe Verdi’s “Triumphal March,” Andrew Lloyd Webber's “The Phantom of the Opera,” and James Stephenson’s “Stars and Stripes Fanfare” among others. A fireworks display will follow the concert.
