Sussy DeLeon, broker/owner of RE/MAX New Horizons, has been awarded the 2003 Minority Business Person of the Year Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration. She is the only minority owner of a RE/MAX franchise in New England. DeLeon’s company was awarded the 2002 Hispanic American Small Business of the Year by the Rhode Island Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce. She serves on the Greater Providence Board of Realtors board of directors, the Rhode Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is the treasurer of the Childhood Lead Action Project.
