TANGO membership crosses 1,000

FARMINGTON, Conn. – For the first time in its history, The Alliance for Non-Profit Growth & Opportunity has surpassed over 1,000 members.

Rollin Schuster, president and founder of TANGO, is excited by the prospect of such a large community of members.

“Our vision to channel the collective clout of the nonprofit sector to create positive change is truly happening. We are genuinely making a difference,” he said.

Founded in 2007, TANGO is a community of nonprofit organizations that use their influence to create a platform from which socially responsible companies drive innovation, fiscal responsibility and mission advancement. Through their combined purchasing power TANGO members benefit from the sharing of best business practices, intellectual capital and peer-to-peer engagement.

TANGO membership, which is free, involves opportunities for volunteer work and community engagement. Current membership is made up of varying-sized nonprofit organizations in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, whose expertise range from environmental conversation to youth development, human services to education, health care to financial services.
