A newly constructed boutique hotel named The Break is scheduled to open in Narragansett this month with a soft opening planned for June 19, according to a spokeswoman for Lark Hotels, which will manage its operations.
The structure, at 1208 Ocean Road in Point Judith, includes a rooftop deck and lounge, a swimming pool and 16 hotel suites, which will have luxurious touches such as heated bathroom floors.
Daily room rates vary by suite but fall into the $279 to $559 range, according to the hotel’s website, www.thebreakhotel.com.
The property is not oceanfront, but the deck and rooms will include ocean views. The décor is described as a “retro chic surf” style.
Construction of the $2 million facility began in 2013. The property is owned by Jim and Becky Durkin, who also own Durkin Cottages Realty.
The hotel still has some occupancy for June into early July and is running a “Worth the Wait” promotion for visits between June 19 and July 2, in which room rates are cut 30 percent, according to Dawn Hagin, a spokeswoman for Lark Hotels.
Lark also owns and operates two boutique hotels in Newport, The Attwater and Gilded, each of which has 17 rooms.
