The Rhode Island Manufacturers Association is pleased to announce that it will hold a black-tie networking reception and dinner on Saturday, October 20th. The theme of the 2012 event will be the renaissance of manufacturing and, appropriately so, the event will be held at the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel.
All across the country there are exciting stories about the rebirth of manufacturing in the United States. Many now understand the importance of growing and maintaining a strong manufacturing base and the fact that it is a critical component of our nation’s economic recovery. Here in Rhode Island, we know all too well about where we rank relative to unemployment, the economy and the overall business climate. Now, more than ever, we need to continue raising awareness of the positive impact of manufacturing and the need for a more business-friendly environment. An atmosphere that will not only keep all of our existing manufacturers here in Rhode Island, but one that helps them expand and attract other businesses; not only in the manufacturing sector, but companies that support and provide necessary services to the manufacturing community.
The funds raised at this event help defray the cost of carrying out RIMA's mission to promote the positive effects of manufacturing. Attendance at this event helps raise the awareness of how important manufacturing is to the state. Please contact RIMA Executive Director Bill McCourt at 401.751.0160 or at email@example.com regarding sponsorship or advertising opportunities, ticket reservations, or if you have any questions about the event.
