Why did you select your profession? I wanted to find a job where my energies could go toward helping others. A path led me to graduate school, where I was fortunate to meet Dr. Patricia Wolff, the founder of Meds & Food for Kids, a startup nonprofit making enriched peanut butter for Haiti’s malnourished children. The work was exactly what I wanted. After nearly eight years with MFK, my wife and I moved to New England. I connected with Navyn [Salem] and Maria [Kasparian] and joined the Edesia team.

Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years? Continuing to help Edesia reach more malnourished children. Our goal is to reach 10 million children by 2020 and to diversify our offerings to other affected populations.

What is your favorite Rhode Island escape or hobby? I love Bristol and its little grassy patches overlooking the bay. •
