EAST GREENWICH – Toray Plastics (America) Inc. has leased nearly 300,000 square feet at the Stanley Bostitch industrial campus, at 1 Briggs Drive, to provide additional storage space for finished film products.
The terms of the warehouse lease, finalized in late October, were not disclosed. Leased space is a more cost-effective option for the company, as opposed to building a warehouse at its Quonset Point property, according to Toray Plastics (America) CEO and President Mike Brandmeier, in an emailed message.
The property was a listing of CB Richard Ellis New England.
A new facility is under construction at the manufacturer’s Quonset property, in North Kingstown, but its purpose has not been disclosed.
Toray Plastics is a manufacturer of polyester, polypropylene and other products used in packaging as well as the flooring and automotive industries. The company is a subsidiary of Toray Industries Inc.
