Trinity Rep announces under-35 program

PROVIDENCE – In order to more easily young people the chance to afford theater tickets, Trinity Repertory Co. has announced its Under35@TRC membership program.
Anyone under the age of 35 can enroll in the free program which allows them to purchase $25 tickets to each regular season play at Trinity Rep. REgisterd members also will receive invitations to Under35@TRC events, and post-show parties.
“I’ve always made attending live performances and plays a priority in my life,” said Tyler Dobrowsky, associate artistic director, in a statement. “But I know that not everyone my age is able to afford it. I wanted to create a new program that made it stress free to people my age to enjoy shows at Trinity Rep in a way that is fun, easy, and quite simply, an inexpensive night on the town.”
Dobrowsky was recently named one of PBN’s 40 Under 40 winners.
Trinity also recently announced it has received a $50,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, part of a national multi-million dollar BOA investment to create economically vibrant communities that are better places in which to live and do business. Trinity Rep will use the grant for general operating support.
“A thriving arts and culture sector helps to attract and retain businesses and fuel the local economy in a way that is accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” said William Hatfield, Bank of America Rhode Island Market President, in a statement. “Trinity Repertory Co. has been a cultural and economic hub for decades, and we know these dollars will be put to good use.”
