NEWPORT – A beachfront farm in Westport and seaside estate in Jamestown have sold for a combined $16.2 million, Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced.

The 50-acre Truesdale Farm on Brayton Point Road in Westport, of which 10 acres stretch into Little Compton, was sold on Dec. 28 for $9 million. The purchase price was the highest in either Westport or Little Compton in 2012.

The Truesdale Farm property includes 1,000 feet of beachfront, a barn, and a four-bedroom 1939 farmhouse overlooking the ocean and Goosewing Beach.

The identity of the buyer was not disclosed.

Truesdale Farm was listed by Gustave White broker/owner Pal Leys and broker Chandler Lyell. The buyer was represented by Patti Salem from Barrett and Company in Lincoln, Mass.

The Jamestown sale was Cedar Point, a 6.2-acre estate overlooking Mackerel Cove, which closed Dec. 27 for $7.2 million, the highest price in that town in 2012.

The 4,000-square-foot main house at Cedar Point was built in 1916 and has six bedrooms.

Cedar Point was listed by Leys and the buyer was represented by Gustave White agents Michelle Kirby and Kate Greenman.
