UMass Dartmouth relaunching incubator

DARTMOUTH – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is planning to relaunch and re-brand its innovation incubator in Fall River on Oct. 23.

Currently named the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center, the tech-business incubator has launched more than 20 companies since opening in 2001.

The incubator will be renamed the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Under its new mission, the center will expand its outreach to southeastern Massachusetts entrepreneurs, including those among the faculty and students at UMass Dartmouth.

The relaunched incubator will continue to bring in startups for development and will also serve as a “virtual incubator,” providing services to startups located throughout the region to accelerate their growth. •
