U.S. News lists top R.I. hotels

PROVIDENCE – Looking for a place to stay?

Westerly’s Ocean House tops the U.S. News & World Report’s list of the 12 best hotels in Rhode Island. The resort-style, 67 room hotel in the Watch Hill section received a 4.5-star rating in the study and was described as a “classic New England retreat.”

Also with a 4.5-star rating, Newport-based The Chanler at Cliff Walk was ranked the second best hotel in Rhode Island. The study noted that rooms are named after royalty and the property is adjacent to the Cliff Walk.
