IRISH BASH

195 Franklin will host the 6th annual Sister Mary Reilly Irish Bash on Saturday, March 17. The bash will raise money for Sophia Academy’s scholarship fund, and will feature Irish fare, such as traditional corned beef and cabbage, a vegetarian Irish stew, breads, desserts, a cash bar and Irish music. 195 Franklin is located at 195 Franklin St., Bristol. Cost: $25 suggested donation per person. REMEMBERING TWO ‘HEAVENLY GINGERS’

Twin River will host Heavenly Gingers fundraising event to benefit two memorial funds beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 19, in the Twin River Event Center, 100 Twin River Road, Lincoln. The second annual event honors the memory of Jessica Morris and Keri Anne O’Donnell, both of whom were heavily involved in the performing arts. BLOOD BANK CHALLENGE

Mechanics Cooperative Bank and Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency Inc. will go head-to-head in a two-day blood drive to support the Southcoast Blood Bank. The Southcoast Health Van will be at Mechanics Cooperative Bank on Thursday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for blood donations. Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance will then attempt to attract more blood donations when the van is at its office (155 North Main St., Fall River) when the van is there Friday, March 23, also from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost: free. CASINO NIGHT AT QUIDNESSETT

The East Greenwich Education Foundation will host its Ocean’s 18 Monte Carlo Casino Night Benefit at 7 p.m., Friday, March 23, at Quidnessett Country Club, 950 North Quidnessett Road, North Kingstown. The event will include live and silent auctions, dancing, food and a complimentary drink. Proceeds will fund grants to East Greenwich teachers for the 2012-2013 academic year. BOWLING BENEFIT

Junior Achievement of Rhode Island will host its 28th annual Achieve-A-Bowl event Saturday, March 24, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, 1 to 3 p.m. at AMF Lang’s Lanes, 225 Niantic Ave., Cranston. Businesses, friends and families are invited to create teams of five for this bowlathon, which raises money for Junior Achievement’s K-12 education programs. The event will continue the following weekend. Cost: $5 registration fee; $100 fundraising minimum per person or $500 per team.
