PROVIDENCE ‚Äď Energy conservation and management solutions company Utilidata Inc. has tapped Sridhar Ramachandran as its new chief technology officer.
Based in the company‚Äôs Providence headquarters, Ramachandran will be responsible for providing the overall technology leadership and ‚Äústrategic product road map that drives the company‚Äôs innovation engine around digital smart grid solutions,‚ÄĚ according to a company release.
‚ÄúWe are very excited that Sri Ramachandran, who has a deep track record of bringing game-changing technologies to market, has decided to join the team. His leadership will be instrumental as Utilidata continues to scale up its operations globally,‚ÄĚ Scott E. DePasquale, chairman and CEO of Utilidata, said in a statement.

Prior to joining Utilidata, Ramachandran most recently served as CTO of the Telecordia/Ericsson Interconnection Solutions business in New Jersey. Under his leadership, the company successfully established a mobile messaging businesses, forged multi-national partnerships and won marquee customers.
Before Ericsson, Ramachandran was co-founder and CTO of Maryland-based NexTone Communications. He has also worked at GE Spacenet, Hughes Network Systems and LLC Inc.

Ramachandran has a Master of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai, India.
