STORRS, Conn. – Washington Trust recently provided $12.5 million to refinance an off-campus student housing complex near the University of Connecticut.
The financing package, provided to Celeron Square Associates LLC, will go toward the apartment complex at 180 Hunting Lodge Road in Storrs. The 22-building complex includes 160 garden-style apartment units, with 416 beds, on a 20-acre parcel of land, according to a press release.
“Housing at the campus has always been a strong demand and this strategically located property serves the college community extremely well,” said Julia Anne M. Slom, senior vice president and team leader of Washington Trust’s commercial real estate group.
