Webster announces Miree as EVP

WATERBURY, Conn. – Webster Bank announced last month David Miree has become the executive vice president for consumer deposits, investments and network management.
Miree will oversee Webster’s banking center and customer care center network along with Consumer Deposits and Webster Investment Services, according to a bank press release.
“Among David’s many strong attributes is a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to achieve profitability in today’s retail banking industry,” said Miree’s new boss Nitin Mhatre, executive vice president, community banking. “He began his career as a banking center manager and excelled in a series of escalating leadership positions before successfully managing a retail banking network of more than 720 locations.”
Most recently, Miree served as executive vice president and managing director of Webster’s U.S. retail network and small business banking. He left Santander Bank and joined Webster in 2011. He began his banking career in 1991 as branch manager of Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati where he’s originally from.
