Webster ranks high for social media

WATERBURY, Conn. – Webster Bank is ranked one of the Top 50 Community Bank Leaders in Social Media by the Independent Community Bankers of America, one of seven banks in New England to be recognized.
The banks were recognized based on fans and followers, engagement, content and frequency of posts,
the ICBA said in recognizing the banks in July.
Waterbury, Conn.-based Webster Bank has 13 banking centers in Rhode Island. No banks in the Ocean State made the list, can be found at www.icba.org.
Massachusetts banks that made the list include Rockland Trust in Rockland, Eastern Bank in Boston, Berkshire Bank in Pittsfield and Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank in Orleans. Maine-based banks on the list are Machias Savings Bank in Machias and Bank of Maine in Portland.
