Westerly Community CU sponsoring scholarships

WESTERLY – The Westerly Community Credit Union is sponsoring three scholarships for high school students planning a college major in business or information technology.

Students attending Chariho, Exeter-West Greenwich, Narragansett, South Kingstown, Stonington and Westerly are eligible.

The $2,500 Joseph N. Cugini Scholarship for business students honors Cugini’s 40 years of service to the credit union movement.

The $ 2,500 Robert M. Bewlay Memorial Scholarship honors Bewlay’s 35 years of service to the credit union and his substantial part in implementing the computer system and technology.

Students are also eligible for a $500 scholarship from The Credit Union Association of Rhode Island

College Scholarship Program.
