Westerly Hospital kicks off Lights of Love

WESTERLY – The Westerly Hospital Auxiliary has officially kicked off its 29th annual Lights of Love campaign.
The community can honor or remember a loved one by purchasing a “Love Light” in their name in denominations of $5, $25, $50, $100 or more. Names of those honored or remembered will be posted weekly on a display board in the hospital lobby. A holiday tree at the front entrance will display lights in honor or remembrance of loved ones.
Proceeds from this year’s campaign will be used to purchase equipment for the hospital’s pharmacy and diagnostic imaging departments.
The annual Celebration of the Lights of Love reception will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 4 p.m. in the hospital lobby.
This year’s ceremony will be held in honor of two retiring local physicians, Dr. Bruce Gillie and Dr. Robert Serra, for their dedication and years of service to Westerly Hospital. Local soloist Eileen Fiore will also perform during the event.
Donation envelopes are available at the Hospital’s Information Desk located in the main lobby or by visiting westerlyhospital.org.
Founded in 1926, the Westerly Hospital Auxiliary serves Westerly Hospital and its patients by providing material assistance beyond the scope of the Hospital budget through various fundraising activities held throughout the year.
