this week's poll

What was last week’s biggest news?

Posted 6/3/12

Last week was quite newsy, with continued updates on the 38 Studios situation, as the company and the state kept trying to push the blame for the company’s descent into insolvency on the other.

Providence did have some tentative good news, however, as the city and its workers and retirees have reached an agreement that should pull it back from the brink of bankruptcy (assuming that the workers and retirees ratify the agreement).

And in another example of what poor fiscal management can bring on, Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee appointed a commission to oversee Woonsocket’s finances, as the city’s school district has been bouncing checks.

Which do you think was the most important news of the week?
