Women & Infants physician tabbed for leaders program

PROVIDENCE – Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island’s Dr. Beth Cronin has been accepted into the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics’ scholars and leaders program.
Cronin, of Providence, works in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants and is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.
The association program is designed to enhance education in obstetrics and gynecology by training physicians to be teachers and administrators in the field.
Beginning in January, Cronin will be part of a 15-month program that focuses on curriculum design, instructional theory, group instruction, clinical instruction, evaluation of teaching and other skills.
“Dr. Cronin is an asset to our department and participating in the APGO program will only enhance her contributions,” said Dr. Maureen G. Phipps, chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital and Care New England.
