Wood River awarded for health efforts

Wood River Health Services was recently recognized with a Worksite Health Award by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
Awards were distributed to area businesses that encourage employees to be healthier through special programs and incentives. Wood River Health Services regularly offers flu shots, immunizations and CPR/first aid response training as well as access to personal health-assessment programs, smoking cessation programs, workstation assessments for ergonomic issues, onsite Weight Watchers and Veggie Box produce delivery.

Wood River Health Services provides medical and dental care and social services to over 9,000 area residents. •
