The 36,000-square-foot Woodman Family Community and Performance Center is under construction at the center of the Moses Brown School’s 33-acre campus. Designed by Durkee, Brown, Viveiros & Werenfels Architects, the project, the cost for which has not been disclosed, includes a main hall that will hold 540 people for musical theater performances and exhibitions. It also will include a café, classrooms and an outdoor gathering space. Shawmut Design and Construction, the general contractor, initiated construction in June 2015. The building is scheduled to be completed in fall 2016.
