The Children’s Shelter of Blackstone Valley, which has been helping abused and neglected Rhode Island children for 36 years, will host a wine tasting fundraiser on Thursday, May 12, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Metacomet Country Club, 500 Veterans Memorial Parkway, East Providence. Funds raised will benefit Rhode Island children requiring care and rehabilitative services. The event includes music, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, a raffle and a cash bar.
