Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin announced an amended agreement with Naloxone manufacturer Amphastar Pharmaceuticals Inc. that would increase the company-offered rebate for each Naloxone syringe dosage kit purchased by nonfederal government agencies in Rhode Island from $4 per dose to $6 per dose. The rebate is retroactive for purchases made on or after Oct. 1, 2015. Sold under brand names, including Narcan, Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose when administered promptly. more
