On March 8, Hasbro Children’s Hospital’s Monopoly Ball packed the R.I. Convention Center with 1,100 supporters, the largest crowd ever to attend the hospital’s annual fundraising gala. The event celebrated the 20th anniversary of the hospital’s opening in 1994 and raised $1.4 million to support its critical programs, including those in the Child Life Services department, which provides pediatric patients and their families with a sense of normalcy during hospitalization. more

The Schwartz Center for Children recently announced its collaboration with Southcoast Hospitals Group to strengthen local access to rehabilitation services for children with special needs. The Schwartz Center staff will continue to provide the highly specialized rehabilitation services in a newly renovated suite within its current location at 1 Posa Place in Dartmouth, under the direction of Southcoast Rehabilitation Services. more
