Worrell has more than 20 years of industry experience and currently leads a team of employees focused on creating successful retirement-plan experiences for employers and employees. In the past, Worrell has also been recognized as an inductee into the PlanAdvisors’ Hall of Fame and was voted as the 2011 Retirement Plan Advisor of the Year by PlanSponsor Magazine. Rebecca “Becky” Moniz, an agent with Weichert, Realtors – Cress & Co., is the recent recipient of the Kent Washington Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Award. The award honors her efforts, and those of her strategic partners, in supporting Rhode Island’s military community. During the past several years, Moniz has served on the Rhode Island Association of Realtors Realtor Troop Support Tast Force, assisting in raising funds to bring the Military Childhood Education Coalition to Rhode Island, coordinating a partnership with the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program to educate deploying military-service members on home ownership and providing advice and home-buying seminars for veterans. Fran L. Giatas was recently selected as the 2013 Administrative Professional of the Year by the Providence chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Giatas is employed as the executive assistant to the president of Care New England Health System, and in the past was the senior executive assistant to the president of Butler Hospital. She has served 31 years in high-level leadership positions, acting as the prime contact for board trustees and corporation members in both roles. Giatas joined IAAP in January 2011 and has since assisted on various committees and served as treasurer and chair of the bylaw committee. During her tenure with the chapter, she has been designated as a member of excellence and has also received the “be the best” award from the New England district director of IAAP. Giatas holds the certified administrative professional designation. more
John Bulman, a founding partner of Little Bulman Medeiros & Whitney PC, was recently elected to the board of governors of the American College of Construction Lawyers. Bulman, whose practice areas include construction law, business-dispute resolution and neutral arbitration, and mediation services, originally joined the college as a fellow in 2006.
