BIDDING, PERMITTING EXPLAINED

The Professional Regulation Unit at the R.I. Department of Labor and Training will hold two free seminars on state bidding, permitting and installation procedures for contractors in the construction industry at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The workshops will be held at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Warwick campus, 400 East Ave., room 4080. During the seminar, department experts will review regulations associated with licensed trades such as hoisting, plumbing and irrigation, electrical installation, telecommunications, burglar and hold-up alarm systems and mechanical work. Participants will be able to ask scenario-specific questions.
