Ashley Mercado

Research Director

Ashley Mercado joined Providence Business News as research director in June 2007. She previously was a co-founder of The Agenda, a Providence-based monthly newspaper where she worked for two years, and before that worked in the Transdisciplinary Research Center at Brown University from 2000 to 2004. A graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., where she majored in English literature with a concentration in criticism and theory, Mercado also pursued a master's degree in media studies at Rhode Island College.
