West Warwick, RI – John Wolfe has been appointed to Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cox Communications. The former Vice President of Government and Public Affairs will now oversee the day-to-day operations for the company’s 1,400 employees in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Ohio.

Wolfe joined Cox in 1995, and as vice president of Government and Public Affairs he has overseen the development of the company’s regional government affairs, internal and external communications, and corporate philanthropy strategies.

In addition to leading the company’s communications and government relations activities for the past few months, Wolfe also served as the region’s interim General Manager. He succeeds Paul Cronin, who joined corporate headquarters as Senior Vice President of Customer Experience.

“John has a brilliant business mind and is a great team leader. He’s been in the industry for a long time and Cox’s New England-Cleveland assets will be in good hands under his leadership,” said Alex Taylor, senior vice president of field operations for Cox Communications.
