Newport, Rhode Island (January 2009) – With quadrupled ratings with her Southern New England audience, Patricia Raskin’s Positive Living™ radio talk show is expanding to two hours beginning Sunday, Feb. 1, on 630WPRO AM, 99.7 FM and online at www.630wpro.com. Listeners are encouraged to tune in every Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. for the expanded format.

Positive Living™ went live in Southern New England one year ago, after 11 years on air in North Carolina, when Raskin re-located back to her roots to be near her family. Since her arrival onto the broadcast scene with the Citadel Broadcasting station group, Raskin has quadrupled her ratings, particularly with her female audience. Her show’s tone, tempo, and style is upbeat, optimistic, and filled with the “best of the best” in celebrity guests, experts, and authors in the lifestyle genre who share personal stories and give practical advice on turning obstacles into opportunities and challenges in solutions.

Cohen will talk about his New York Times bestseller, A Chorus of Hope: STRONG AT THE BROKEN PLACES – the remarkable story of five ordinary people trapped in the complex world of serious chronic illnesses.
Featured in the second hour is Hedy S. Wald, Ph.D, a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Wald, who is a widely published author, will discuss the role of compassionate care by medical doctors, and her recently published essay, “In the Here and Now” – her personal experience coping with her father’s Alzheimer’s dementia.
