The IIA Ocean State Chapter Profile:

The Ocean State Chapter – formerly the Providence Chapter – of The IIA was founded on September 26, 1979, by a small group of internal auditors who belonged to the Boston Chapter. They decided there was enough interest in the Providence area to begin a separate unit.

From that small breakaway group, the chapter has grown to more than 285 members representing more than 80 businesses, universities, and government agencies throughout Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

Through monthly meetings and seminars, the Chapter provides a varied program of education and networking for its members. The Chapter also actively supports the Certified Internal Auditor Exam Program with its very own review course and certified trainer beginning in 2008.
