Santander economic breakfast scheduled for March 28

PROVIDENCE – Santander Bank, and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to hold its annual economic outlook breakfast on March 28.
The event is held each year to discuss economic activity in the Providence area, and runs parallel to a similar event the bank puts on in Boston.
This year’s theme in Rhode Island is “Planes and Cranes in the Providence Sky,” playing off the fact that Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the R.I. Airport Corp., is one of the featured panelists.
Other panelists include Tom Dziki, senior vice president of real estate and sustainability at United Natural Foods Inc., Richard Galvin, president and founder of CV Properties, Sylvia Maxfield, Providence College School of Business dean, and Dr. Peter Snyder, senior vice president and chief research officer at Lifespan Inc.
Gov. Gina M. Raimondo will provide welcoming remarks. The breakfast will be held at the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence.
