10 R.I. wealth advisers named to new Forbes ‘Best-In-State’ list

PROVIDENCE – Who are the best wealth advisers in Rhode Island?

Forbes magazine seems to know, issuing its annual nationwide list of “Best-In-State Wealth Advisors.”

The list for Rhode Island was topped by some familiar names, such as Malcolm Makin and Edythe M. De Marco. Makin was ranked No. 1 for his work at Professional Group/Raymond James in Westerly. DeMarco came in at No. 2 at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Providence.

Denise Roberts, another familiar name on the list, was No. 3 at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Newport.

Dennis McGuire was No. 4 at McGuire Wealth Management in Charlestown; Jeffrey Martin was No. 5 and Tricia O’Neil was No. 6, both at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Providence.

Jeff Loring of Loring Advisory Group in Greenville was No. 7; Paul Capuzziello of Ameriprise Financial in Cumberland was No. 8; Danny DeHoney of Ameriprise Financial in Cranston was No. 9; and Chris Yalanis of Wells Fargo Advisors in Newport was No. 10.

The rankings also had the total amount of assets that each adviser’s team manages. Makin’s team had the most at $1 billion, followed by DeMarco’s team at $913 million and Martin’s team at $507 million, according to Forbes.
