PROVIDENCE – Nominations are open for the 2021 Rhody Awards for Historic Preservation.

The annual contest recognizes the best of preservation in the state. It is organized by the R.I. Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission and Preserve Rhode Island.

Nominations are due on Monday, May 31.

The categories include:

  • Named Awards, for people who have made important contributions to preservation. Preservation Project Awards, for building and landscape rehabilitation or restoration projects.
  • Public Preservation Awards, for advocacy, community and educational efforts related to preservation.
  • Stewardship Awards, for the long-term preservation of buildings or landscapes.
