Attendees can expect to learn about paths to success in the app ecosystem; tools and connections for developers through platforms, such as lower overhead; and best practices in marketing, branding and recruiting. The event also includes the opportunity to network with other local entrepreneurs.
Lt. Gov. Daniel J. McKee will deliver the opening remarks. Featured speakers include Jessica Mayernik, R.I. Department of Labor and Training; Morgan Reed, ACT | The App Association; Robert Blackburn, Blackburn Labs, a Providence-based software design company; Kirsten Maynard, Waxman Strategies; and Erin Abrams, Tech Collective.
ACT | The App Association is based in Washington, D.C. The organization represents more than 5,000 app makers and connected-device companies.
