Sensata earns No. 7 spot on Globe list

ATTLEBORO – Sensata Technologies Inc. was named to The Boston Globe’s list of the Top 100 best-performing publicly traded corporations in Massachusetts for the second consecutive year.
On this year’s list, Sensata earned the No. 7 slot, up from No. 77 last year, based on increases in sales, profits and shareholder returns during 2012, according to a release.
“Sensata is honored to be included in the Globe 100 for the second year in a row,” President and CEO Martha Sullivan said in prepared remarks. “I want to thank the whole Sensata team as this recognition reinforces our commitment to growth and is a testament to the talent of our workforce.”
“Our products play a mission-critical role in safety, energy efficiency and a clean environment and we are proud to be considered a leader in the technology-rich Massachusetts economy,” added Sullivan.
The Globe 100 ranks Massachusetts-based public companies based on financial data from the four quarters ending Dec. 31, 2012. To be eligible, companies must trade publicly for the entire 2012 calendar year on the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq, or the American Stock Exchange and report revenue and profit for both 2011 and 2012.
