EAST PROVIDENCE – The Wolf School, a private school that specializes in therapeutic programs and K-8 instruction for children with multiple learning differences, this month will launch an expansion to add facilities including a classroom, library, faculty lounge, a community room and a sensory courtyard.
A fundraising campaign for the addition is nearly completed. The $750,000 project will add about 2,500 square feet of new space and will involve some interior renovation as well, according to Marie Esposito, director of development.
The 61-student school serves children from Rhode Island as well as Massachusetts and has had increasing enrollment. Construction of the school addition is expected to begin this month and should be completed in September.
The architect is Imai Keller Moore Architects, of Watertown, Mass. The architect is Chapel Building Corp., of East Providence.
The Wolf School was founded in 1999 with three students and one classroom, according to its website.
