At East Providence-based Gentle Giant Moving Co., the corporate culture stresses the importance of a safe and healthy workplace environment.
“During the course of a regular year, we provide regular training to our movers on safety topics and techniques to ensure they are safe and healthy in their job,” said Ryan Falvey, chief human resources officer.
In addition, Gentle Giant offers employees a monthly reimbursement for their gym membership, and a comprehensive blend of insurance and health-related coverages for employees, including three tiers of health, dental, vision, accident and life insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage.
“We have health insurance plans structured for individuals, individuals plus one, and family plans. Gentle Giant pays for approximately 55% of the health insurance premium for our employees,” Falvey said.
