What is the biggest challenge currently facing your industry and how are you responding to it? The erasure of funding for diversity, equity and inclusion; belonging and acceptance; and justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. With this erasure of funding, clients have been forced to cut any efforts to improve organizational culture in the workplace. I’ve tried to address this challenge by consulting half full clients and partners to change their messaging. Instead of calling initiatives to improve ways of being in the office DEI, simply shift to calling it workplace culture.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Keep your network strong, take advantage of every adult you meet that is in a position to potentially be a resource to you and others.
What moment changed your life more than any other? The tragic loss of a friend that I worked with at my first job changed the trajectory of my life. I would not be a values-driven facilitator who spends every hour on building community partnerships without that loss.
What was your last streaming or cable binge watch? “Forever” on Netflix.
