Did you know that, according to the Centers for Disease Control, approximately one of five people living with HIV in the United States do not even know that they are infected?

You can help raise awareness of the importance of getting tested by supporting AIDS Project Rhode Island, which provides education, prevention and testing programs and a range of services for people living with HIV/AIDS in the state.

All you have to do is go out and eat Thursday, April 25!

It’s the annual Dining Out for Life® event benefitting AIDS Project Rhode Island. More than thirty restaurants in Rhode Island are expected to participate by donating a portion of their April 25th  proceeds to AIDS Project Rhode Island.

Right now AIDS Project Rhode Island is recruiting restaurants. “The goal is to get as many restaurants on board as possible, and get them filled with diners!” said event coordinator Amy Stein.  Interested restaurants should contact her at amy@aidsprojectri.org.

She is also looking for volunteers with contacts at restaurants or who are interested in helping to fill a participating restaurant April 25th.
