WARWICK – Allegiant Airlines will add nonstop service to Savannah, Ga., from T.F. Green Airport, the R.I. Airport Corp. announced Tuesday.
Flights to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport will run twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays starting June 6. This will be the third destination offered from the airport by Allegiant. The flight will utilize a 177-seat Airbus 320.
“We are extremely pleased with Allegiant’s announcement that they are expanding operations here at T.F. Green. Rhode Islanders and regional travelers will now have an additional low-fare option to Savannah. We hope Allegiant can continue to grow and be successful here and that Rhode Islanders will support these routes,” stated Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corp.
Allegiant already flies to Cincinnati, St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay and Punta Gorda/Ft. Myers, Fla., from T.F Green.
